Prelaunch policy preview

Privacy, with controls you can use.

This operational draft describes the current product. Hosting locations and the service providers that process data are listed under Operator facts below. It has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and a designated privacy contact is not yet published.

01

Information you provide

Your account name and email, career profile, uploaded documents, evidence, preferences, saved roles, application notes and support requests are used to provide your workspace. Passwords are stored as protected hashes.

02

How information is used

Your data supports job comparisons, document generation and application preparation you request. ROLIVA does not publish your career profile or send application drafts automatically. A payment provider would receive checkout information when live billing is enabled.

03

Automated matching and assistants

Job match scores, Roli and the Support and Privacy Assistants are rule-based: they do not use an AI model and do not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects. Match scores compare your confirmed evidence with job requirements and are guidance only; you decide what to apply for.

04

Storage and retention

Uploaded originals and extracted text have a default 90-day retention period and can be deleted earlier. Separately confirmed profile facts and generated documents remain until account deletion. Uploaded originals and generated documents are encrypted with an application key before they are stored. Hosting locations, the service providers that process data and backup retention are listed under Operator facts below.

05

Product analytics

Product analytics are optional and off unless you choose them at signup or in Settings. With your choice, ROLIVA measures one workspace visit and one view per role per day and keeps a coarse first-visit source (for example a campaign name or referring website), without advertising identifiers. You can switch this off in Settings and erase your previous individual events. Events and in-app notifications expire after 90 days.

06

Browser notifications (Web Push)

Browser notifications are optional and off until you turn them on for a specific browser in Your ROLIVA Daily, after your browser asks for permission. Your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) receives a subscription address and a short generic message such as "New updates are waiting in Your ROLIVA Daily"; it never receives job titles, companies or career details. You can turn notifications off for any browser in Settings or in your browser at any time.

07

Your rights and how to use them

You can download your data and delete your account in Settings, and edit your profile at any time. For other requests — access, correction, erasure, withdrawing consent, nominating someone to act for you, questions about processing, or a complaint — open Support and choose the Privacy Assistant. It explains the options, drafts a structured request and, only when you confirm, creates a privacy request with a reference number. A person handles every request; our target is a first response within 24 hours and completion within 30 days. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority or other regulator.

08

Deletion and records we must keep

Account deletion removes your account records, support tickets and conversations. If you made paid purchases, a minimal record of each paid or refunded order (amount, tax, dates and payment reference, without your name, email or address) is kept for tax and accounting obligations. A content-free log of privacy requests (reference, type and dates) is kept to show how requests were handled. Backup and restore behaviour is described under Operator facts.

09

Cookies and contact

Essential cookies maintain your login and protect account changes. Optional update emails include a one-click unsubscribe link; account security emails are sent only when you request them. No advertising cookies are required. The designated privacy contact and Grievance Officer are listed under Operator facts once confirmed; this preview is not the final published policy.

Hosting and data locations
Application hosting: Railway, US West (San Francisco region). Primary PostgreSQL database: Neon on AWS US East (Ohio, us-east-2).
Service providers that process data
Railway (application hosting); Neon (PostgreSQL database hosting); Google (Search Console verification and the Indexing API: only public job-page addresses are sent, never personal data); your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) delivers the Web Push notifications you opt into, with a generic message and no job or career details. No external email, payment, document/object-storage or analytics provider is currently active.
Backup retention
Database recovery facilities operate according to the currently configured Neon retention policy. Temporary recovery branches created by the operator are deleted within the restore-branch retention period unless an active incident, investigation, legal-preservation requirement or documented recovery exercise requires longer retention. A restore follows the documented recovery procedure, which re-applies recorded account deletions before the service reopens.
