A resume headline is the one line that sums you up as a candidate. Below are fill-in patterns for freshers, experienced candidates and career changers, and for common roles. Every example is a pattern: replace each [placeholder] with your own, true details.

What makes a headline work
Lead with the role you want
A recruiter searching for a data analyst should see “Data analyst” first, not your college or a slogan.
Add proof, not adjectives
Years of experience, the tools you use every week and one result you can verify say more than “hard-working, dynamic professional”.
Match your résumé
The headline, your résumé summary and your skills list should tell the same story. A recruiter who opens your résumé should find every claim in the headline backed up.
Keep it short and plain
One line, normal capitalisation, separators such as “|” or commas, and no emoji. Check the character limit shown when you edit the field.
Only true statements
Do not claim a skill, a certification or an “immediate joiner” status you do not have. A notice period is worth stating only if it is short and accurate.
Update it when something changes
Edit the headline when you learn a new tool, change role or finish a certification. ROLIVA has no information on how Naukri ranks or orders profiles, so this page makes no promise about visibility.
