What public careers services say, by country
Each card states only what its cited public source says. The rule that always applies: when a posting names the document or the format it wants, follow the posting.
United Kingdom

CV (as used by National Careers Service (UK))
Personal details
The National Careers Service says you should not include your age, your date of birth, whether you’re married or your nationality.
References
It suggests saying that references are available on request rather than putting someone else’s contact details on your CV.
resume (as used by Job Bank, Government of Canada)
Length
Job Bank says to limit your resume to two pages.
Photo
Job Bank says a photo is not the norm in Canada and can lower your chances.
Personal details
It lists age, weight, height, marital status, religious preference and political views as things to leave out, and says never to include your Social Insurance Number.
