About the Role
Apex Group Ltd is hiring an Associate – Funds Context Enablement to drive automation across Trade Processing, Pricing, and broader middle-office operational workflows. The role focuses on building, supporting, and optimising ETL integrations, reducing manual touchpoints, improving data quality, and enabling straight-through-processing (STP) across internal systems.
You will partner with Operations, Fund Accounting, and Technology teams to automate processes related to trade files, price feeds, reconciliations, market data, and system integrations.
---
Key Responsibilities
1. ETL Development & Integration
· Design, develop, and enhance ETL processes for operational data flows (trade files, price files, security masters, positions, reconciliations).
· Integrate client-provided trade/price files into internal systems using ETL tools.
· Implement and test new integrations based on business and client requirements.
· Monitor ETL workflows, handle failures, and ensure timely delivery of critical data.
2. Automation & Process Improvement
· Automate repetitive operations tasks using SQL, VBA, Advanced Excel, macros, scripts, or ETL workflows.
· Build reusable data pipelines to reduce manual intervention across trade and pricing workflows.
· Identify process gaps and deliver scalable automation solutions.
3. Operations Support (Trade, Pricing & Middle Office)
· Support day-to-day trade and price data processing activities.
· Work to resolve breaks, mismatches, and exceptions across trade, position, and pricing workflows.
· Collaborate with Fund Accounting teams (Geneva / Paxus) for data validation and troubleshooting.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation
· Gather requirements from Operations, Product, and Integration teams.
· Translate functional needs into technical ETL/automation solutions.
· Maintain documentation, SOPs, workflow diagrams, and technical user guides.
· Communicate clearly with non-technical users.
---
Required Skills & Expertise
Technical
· Mandatory hands-on experience with an ETL tool (Informatica, Alteryx, SSIS, Talend, etc.).
· Strong SQL, VBA, and Advanced Excel.
· Experience in automation projects (macros, workflow automation, scripting).
· Understanding of market data platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
· Exposure to Fund Accounting systems such as Geneva / Paxus (preferred but not mandatory).
Domain
· Good understanding of trade lifecycle workflows (trade capture, affirmation, settlement).
· Understanding of pricing workflows (security pricing, market data validation, price exceptions).
· Familiarity with capital markets instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTCs, private markets).
· Background in Fund Administration or Middle Office operations preferred.
Soft Skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
· Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
· Collaborative team player with ownership mindset.
---
Candidate Profile (Ideal Fit)
· 3–5 years of experience in ETL automation, trade/price operations, or middle-office technology roles.
· Hands-on automation mindset rather than pure operational processing.
· Capable of building workflows to reduce manual tasks across trade, price, and reconciliations.
· Strong data handling and troubleshooting skills.
