Position Summary/Objective:
- Support the development and adoption of analytics, GenAI, AI-agent and decision intelligence products across Sourcing and Supply Planning. Work closely with the Senior Manager and global and regional partners across supplier performance, procurement and purchase-order execution, supply planning, inventory, capacity, constraints, supply-demand balancing and product development. The role combines business-facing domain analysis with hands-on capability across data, semantic modeling, dashboard visualization and AI-agent creation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sourcing and Planning stakeholders to understand decisions, pain points, workflows and opportunities and convert them into analytical requirements, user stories and actionable products.
- Support Supply Planning analytics across supply-demand balancing, inventory and deployment planning, capacity and constraints, frozen horizon, lead times, backlog, service, reliability and planning exceptions.
- Support Sourcing analytics across suppliers and factories, procurement, PO execution, vendor OTIF, PO completeness, capacity, lead times, sourcing mix, cost, productivity, risk and corrective actions.
- Analyze the purchase-order lifecycle from requisition and order creation through confirmation, changes, production and shipment milestones, need dates, delivery commitments and exception resolution.
- Define and document KPIs, business rules, dimensions, grains, hierarchies, exclusions, targets and drill paths and validate data quality and reconciliations across planning, procurement and supplier sources.
- Work with IT Data & Analytics and Engineering to translate requirements into GCP data products and LookML semantic models and test joins, measures, dimensions, lineage and controls.
- Design, develop and iterate executive, tactical and operational dashboards in Google Looker, applying strong visualization, usability, scenario and exception-led design principles.
- Create and refine GenAI and AI-agent pilots for use cases such as PO visibility and exception management, supplier-risk analysis, planner copilots, lead-time intelligence, capacity risk and sourcing recommendations.
- Configure agent prompts, business instructions, grounding context, tools or workflows, evaluations, guardrails and human-review steps; test output quality, reliability and user value before scaling.
- Conduct exploratory, diagnostic and scenario analyses across demand changes, supply constraints, inventory strategies, supplier disruptions, sourcing mix, tariffs and service-cost trade-offs.
- Support predictive and prescriptive models with feature and business-rule definition, test cases, business interpretation and user feedback.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria, support UAT, document solutions, train users and monitor adoption, usage and business impact.
- Contribute to cross-functional squads and actively share reusable semantic patterns, dashboard components, analytical methods and agent designs across the Planning & Analytics team.
Performance Expectations:
- Business partnership and insight
- Deliver timely analyses and product requirements grounded in Sourcing and Planning decisions and workflows.
- Technical and product quality
- Produce reliable semantic definitions, intuitive dashboards and well-tested AI agents with clear documentation and controls.
- Adoption and impact
- Support successful pilots and scaled products that improve service, inventory, supplier performance, cost, risk, productivity or decision speed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply planning, inventory planning, supply chain analytics, data products, BI or AI-enabled solution delivery.
- Domain Knowledge:
- Knowledge of one or more Sourcing or Planning areas and willingness to build end-to-end expertise across suppliers, POs, capacity, lead times, inventory, constraints and product development
- Data, Visualization and AI Skills:
- Strong practical capability in SQL and data analysis, data profiling and validation, KPI logic, dimensional and semantic modeling, dashboard visualization and user-experience design. Working familiarity with GCP and Google Looker / LookML is strongly preferred. This is not a reporting-only role: candidates must also demonstrate hands-on fluency in GenAI and AI-agent creation, including prompt and instruction design, grounding, context configuration, workflow or tool integration, testing, evaluation, human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring and responsible-AI practices.
- Analytical Skills:
- Able to structure ambiguous questions, analyze large datasets, identify drivers and exceptions, communicate findings and translate them into decisions or product features.
- Product Delivery:
- Experience or strong aptitude in discovery, requirements, prototyping, agile collaboration, UAT, documentation, training and iterative improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Fluent English communication required. Able to work effectively with planners, sourcing teams, analysts, engineers, product teams and leaders across regions.
- Leadership Abilities:
- Proactive, self-directed and accountable. Influences through expertise, curiosity and responsiveness rather than authority.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Connects individual metrics and analyses to service, inventory, working capital, supplier, sourcing, cost and enterprise outcomes.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Senior Manager, Sourcing & Supply Planning Analytics. No direct reports.
- Location and Travel Requirements:
- Mexico. Periodic travel to offices, suppliers or factories, regional teams and global team locations may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Hands-on builder who is equally comfortable analyzing data, defining a semantic model, designing a dashboard, prototyping an AI agent and engaging directly with Sourcing and Planning users.
