Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Fits, aligns, calibrates and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairs units or products that have failed to meet requirements. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Job Summary
The Production Associate 2 is responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. This position works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
- Makes set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Requires some production experience.
- Simple oral communication skills, visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Successful completion of company’s on-the-job training or probationary program.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic materials, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
