Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth: Drive business development and revenue generation in the Japanese insurance sector, with a particular focus on Technology Transformation, Digital Transformation, Data & AI.

Client Relationship Management: Leverage and expand strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers at leading Japanese life and non-life insurance companies to originate strategic consulting engagements.

Technology & AI Consulting Leadership: Lead end-to-end consulting engagements, from technology strategy, business and IT transformation planning, and solution architecture through system implementation and delivery.

Sia Partners Asset Localization: Adapt and localize Sia Partners' global technology, data, AI and proprietary solutions to meet the specific business requirements and regulatory environment of Japanese insurance clients.

Practice & Team Building: Play a leading role in establishing and scaling the Insurance Technology & AI consulting team in Japan, including recruiting, developing and mentoring consulting talent.

Global Collaboration: Collaborate with Sia Partners' global Insurance, Technology and AI teams to leverage international expertise, solutions and delivery capabilities for Japanese clients.

Key Success Factors

Generate a sustainable pipeline of new Technology & AI consulting opportunities and convert them into profitable engagements.

Establish Sia Partners as a trusted transformation partner for leading Japanese insurance companies.

Successfully deliver high-impact technology and AI transformation projects with strong client satisfaction and measurable business value.

Accelerate the adoption and commercialization of Sia Partners' global assets and AI solutions in the Japanese insurance market.

Build a high-performing Insurance Technology & AI consulting team and contribute to the sustainable growth of Sia Partners Japan.

Requirements

Extensive management consulting experience in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on technology consulting and business transformation.

Deep understanding of Japanese life and/ or non-life insurance businesses, industry-specific challenges, technology environments and market trends.

Proven track record in originating and delivering technology consulting engagements for major insurance companies.

Established relationships with senior executives, business leaders, CIOs and technology decision-makers across the Japanese insurance industry.

Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end technology transformation projects, from upstream strategy and planning through implementation and delivery.

Proven leadership capabilities in business development, client account management, project delivery and consulting team development.

Required Skills & Capabilities

Insurance Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of insurance business processes, core insurance systems and technology-driven business transformation.

Technology Transformation: Expertise in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, core system modernization, cloud transformation and large-scale system implementation.

Data & AI: Strong understanding of data analytics, Generative AI, AI-enabled business transformation and their practical applications in insurance.

Business Development: Strong commercial acumen, executive-level relationship management, opportunity origination and proposal development capabilities.

Program & Delivery Management: Ability to lead complex technology programs, manage implementation risks and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Leadership & Team Building: Ability to recruit, develop and lead high-performing consulting teams in a growing practice.

Global Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with international teams and translate global consulting capabilities into the Japanese market.
