Wenn Du Dich auf diese Aufgaben freust:

Drehen, Fräsen, Schleifen: Als Zerspanungsmechaniker bearbeitest Du verschiedene Bauteile (meistens aus Metall) und bringst sie in die richtige Form.

Je nach Einsatzfeld bedienst Du moderne Dreh- oder Fräsmaschinensysteme, Drehautomaten- oder Schleifmaschinensysteme. Die sind heute meistens computergesteuert und müssen programmiert werden. Und die Befehle dazu gibst Du.

Du organisierst Deine Arbeit selbst, entscheidest anhand einer Fertigteilzeichnung, wie Du ein bestimmtes Teil in Form bringst, beschaffst Dir die notwendigen Materialien und pflegst Deine Maschine weitestgehend allein. Und da jede Deiner Arbeiten auf einem Kundenauftrag beruht, klärst Du im Vorfeld offene Fragen.

Wenn Du Dich dann ans Werk machst, dokumentierst Du Deine Arbeits- und Prüfergebnisse. Klar, dass Du hierfür alles über die Funktionen der Maschinen und über Eigenschaften der Werk- und Schneidstoffe erfährst.
