For our successful Drug Product focused branch located in Basel and Stein, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the Automation Engineer position.

What you will do:
Routine sample preparation of drug product samples with an automated liquid handler as well as maintenance of automation systems
Design, develop, program, and implement automated solutions using various digital platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365 products)
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in automation and digitalization to lead various workstreams

Participate in root cause analysis for automation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
Ensure all automation activities comply with relevant GxP regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Engage directly with automation scientists and other stakeholders to propose and implement automated solutions accordingly
What we are looking for:
Master Degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences or a related field
Proficient programming skills in Python and other languages relevant to automation
Hands-on experience with liquid handlers is highly desired, e.g. experience with state-of-the-art liquid handler software/hardware such as Hamilton Vantage/STAR line or, Tecan Fluent/Evo
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required. Any other languages are a plus
