Automation QA Engineer, Associate

• Apply AI-assisted tools to improve test design, test data generation, failure analysis, and automation maintenance under guidance from senior engineers.

Quality Assurance

• Review business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test cases and test plans.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Document defects clearly and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

• Validate fixes and ensure production readiness.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and quality expectations.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Engineering function.

Continuous Improvement

• Support CI/CD testing activities and automated test execution pipelines.

• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and automation effectiveness.

• Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

• Explore opportunities to use AI and automation to reduce repetitive testing effort, improve defect triage, and accelerate release confidence.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.

• Basic knowledge of test automation tools such as Puppeteer, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as, Python, JavaScript & TypeScript.

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.

• Experience using version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket

• Awareness of AI-assisted development or testing tools, with an interest in applying AI responsibly to improve quality engineering outcomes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Team city, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, ADO.

• Exposure to AI-enabled testing, self-healing automation, intelligent defect analysis, or test generation tools.
