Jenkins: Experience executing or supporting automated test pipelines.

Overall Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.

Create and maintain reusable automation components, test utilities, and test suites using TestNG and Maven.

Perform functional and regression testing to verify that software meets defined requirements.

Conduct API testing and database testing as part of comprehensive quality validation.

Execute automated tests through appropriate environments and support test execution using Jenkins.

Identify, document, track, and follow up on software defects using JIRA.

Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts, test failures, and environment-related issues.

Review test cases and provide feedback on test coverage, clarity, traceability, and maintainability.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to clarify requirements, resolve defects, and support timely delivery of high-quality software.

Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Apply software testing and quality assurance methodologies consistently across assigned work.

Day-to-Day Activities

Write, maintain, and execute automated test cases using Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Maven.

Review test cases, provide feedback on coverage and quality, and participate in Agile sprint planning and retrospectives.

Deliver reliable test results, defect records, and automation updates while making decisions within assigned testing scope and escalating risks or blockers appropriately.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; equivalent practical experience in software testing or quality assurance may be considered.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in automation testing, including prior experience with Selenium and Java.

Practical experience with TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA, API testing, database testing, and Agile delivery practices.

No certification is specified as mandatory; relevant software testing, automation, Agile, or tool-specific certifications are preferred where applicable.

Complete role-relevant training and maintain continuous professional development in automation frameworks, testing practices, API validation, database testing, and Agile methodologies.
