Job Purpose

We are looking for a commercially minded, investment-oriented professional to join a high-impact team supporting RMs across all markets in Private Banking. You will work closely with RMs to understand client needs, identify relevant opportunities and translate market and product developments into actionable ideas. This is not a purely support or execution role. It will be expected to build investment knowledge, engage proactively with RMs, form views, connect information and products, and contribute to solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. RM Engagement & Business Support

Build strong relationships with RMs and understand their client portfolios and priorities.
Identify client opportunities and relevant investment ideas.
Participate in RM and client discussions, providing insights and follow-through.
Support execution and drive opportunities from concept to action.

2. Investment & Market Content

Monitor market trends, investment themes, and product developments.
Assess relevance of investment ideas for clients and RMs.
Develop investment presentations, market updates, communications, and thought leadership content.
Explain implications, opportunities, and recommended actions beyond simple information sharing.

3. Commercial & Solution Development

Connect market developments, products, and client needs to deliver practical solutions.
Translate complex investment concepts into clear, actionable messages.
Conduct independent research and proactively identify opportunities and next steps.
Exercise sound judgment to determine relevance and commercial impact.

4. Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with investment, product, research, marketing, and other internal teams.
Coordinate resources and expertise to support RM success.
Build credibility through preparation, ownership, and delivery.
Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

5. Execution & Team Contribution

Deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely work.
Take ownership of initiatives from inception to completion.
Anticipate business needs and improve team processes and content.
Support strategic and ad hoc initiatives as business requirements evolve.

Requirements

Investment Knowledge: Strong interest in financial markets and wealth management; ability to learn investment products quickly. CFA or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to distil market insights into practical, client-focused recommendations.
Technology & AI Fluency: Comfortable leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance analysis, reporting, productivity, and decision-making.
Ownership & Initiative: Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
