We're hiring a Azure Platform Engineer as part of Merkle in Sofia.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to help build, configure, and support enterprise-grade Azure platforms. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on Azure PaaS services, requiring someone who can work independently, interpret architecture documentation, and deliver secure, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy and manage Azure PaaS services across development, test, and production environments.
Configure application hosting services, networking, security, monitoring, and private connectivity.
Implement Azure platform components according to established architecture and governance standards.
Troubleshoot platform, networking, and deployment issues.
Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
Document implementations and collaborate with architects and engineering teams.

Required Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services.
Experience deploying and supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, and platform services.

Technical Skills

Experience with most of the following:

Azure App Service, Functions, Container Apps, Container Registry
Azure Front Door, WAF, API Management
Virtual Networks, NSGs, NAT Gateway, Private Endpoints, Private DNS
Managed Identity, Key Vault, App Configuration
Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Data Factory
Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Monitoring and Alerting
