Role Responsibilities:

  • This process outlines how bankruptcy-related mail is received, assigned, reviewed, routed, tracked, and saved across key intake channels, including BNC, MIPS, RPS Bankruptcy Shared, and RPS Bankruptcy Mail Processing Shared. The overall objective is to ensure bankruptcy documents are reviewed timely, categorized accurately, routed to the appropriate teams or specialty contacts, and retained in the correct folders for auditability and reference.
  • This process relies on consistent daily discipline: opening the required systems at the beginning of the day, running and saving BOD/EOD and MIPS reporting, monitoring task acceptance and completion, and using the mail assignment tracker to confirm ownership and progress. Team members should understand routing expectations, document-saving requirements, due dates, and escalation paths for urgent or specialized mail.

The process also reinforces the importance of required customer information handling language and ensuring urgent shared mailbox items are worked outside normal guidelines when directed.
  • Overall, this process supports operational consistency, compliance, timely bankruptcy mail handling, and clear accountability across the team.
