To meet our challenges, we are looking for a Buyer- Industrial Purchase within the Procurement team! This position will be located in Gokak.
Their mission?
This position is responsible for effective and cost oriented sourcing operations for the plant adhering to the SOP's with a focus on sustainable and enviroment friendly outlook.
Your experience and talents will make the difference to:
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure mechanical spares, consumables, and maintenance services as per plant requirements.
- Obtain quotations, conduct price negotiations, and finalize purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and stores teams for technical clarifications and procurement planning.
- Track order execution, deliveries, and service completion to ensure compliance with timelines.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and vendor development.
- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Timely MIS reports and cost tracking

And also....
- BE in Mechanical/Electrical/E&C/IP preferred or MBA in SCM
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in procurement of spares and maintenance services in manufacturing, engineering, steel, cement, chemical, or similar industries.
