Job Purpose:

This role will include machining aircraft components by reading and working from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and Unloading Machining fixtures

Setting our range of Five Axis and Three Axis Machines

Using measuring equipment such as micrometres, Vernier’s, plug gauges, screw gauges, ring gauges, Renishaw probe.

Conducting regular Maintenance and Cleaning of Machines and Tools.

Set up and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, multi-axis) to produce aerospace components

Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications

Monitor machining processes to ensure precision and adherence to tight tolerances.

Experience:

Prior experience using multi-axis CNC Machines

Experience of working to ISO9001 or AS/EN9100 quality approvals

Experience of working in the aerospace/defence/automotive sector

Good understanding of CNC Programming

A good understanding of drawings and geometric tolerances

Good understanding of component drawings

Fanuc Controller experience would be beneficial.
