Data Scientist, Consultant (Utilities)

What You Will Need

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline

ONE (1) or more years of professional experience applying data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems

Experience with analytical and data management tools such as Python, SQL, R, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, GIS, or similar technologies.

Experience working with large and complex datasets and developing analytical solutions from concept through implementation.

What Would Be Nice To Have

Experience supporting electric, gas, water, or other energy-sector organizations.

Strong communication and consulting skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights and recommendations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

Familiarity with utility business functions such as customer programs, DERs, electrification, asset management, operations, regulatory planning.

Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms, data engineering, AI, machine learning, geospatial analytics, or optimization techniques.

Experience developing dashboards, data products, or decision-support applications for business users.

Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.

Master's degree or relevant certifications in analytics, cloud technologies, or data engineering.

The annual salary range for this position is $89,000.00-$148,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
