Role Purpose:

The role is within the Group Technology Risk Management department, reporting to the Head of Risk Analytics & Intelligence.

As a Data Scientist at Prudential, you will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and data science techniques to transform data into actionable business insights. You will play a key role in developing analytical solutions that enhance risk management, drive operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Working closely with business stakeholders, risk teams, and technology partners, you will design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges. Your work will contribute to strengthening risk monitoring capabilities, improving governance and reporting processes, identifying emerging risks, and enabling data-informed decisions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to support risk management, intelligence, and business performance objectives.
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to acquire, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
Build predictive, descriptive, and diagnostic models to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks, including GenAI and agentic AI solutions that enhance risk intelligence, decision-making, operational efficiency, and governance effectiveness.
Develop automated reporting, dashboards, and data products that provide actionable insights to stakeholders and senior management.
Analyze large and complex datasets from multiple sources to support assurance and risk review activities to proactively identify, monitor, and flag potential non-compliance or control weaknesses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
Support the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of analytical models and AI-driven capabilities.
Promote data-driven decision making by communicating findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
