About the Team

The UK & Ireland Engagement Management team sits within Workday's Delivery organization, and we're the team that turns Workday's cloud solutions into real results for our customers. We deploy Workday's portfolio of solutions across enterprise customers throughout the UK and Ireland, and we're proud of the diverse mix of backgrounds and experience that our people bring to that work.
We put people first.

That shows up in flexible work schedules, in the support we give people to grow toward the career they want, and in a genuine commitment to work-life balance and equal opportunity for everyone on the team. We also believe in learning together: our culture is built around continuous improvement, and we encourage every team member to develop their skills and become the best version of their professional self.

About the Role

As Director, Engagement Management, you will lead a team of Engagement Managers who deploy Workday solutions and own the success of the customers in their portfolio. This role exists to make sure our customers get outstanding outcomes from their Workday implementation, and that the people delivering those implementations have what they need to do their best work. Increasingly, this includes helping customers understand and adopt AI capabilities within Workday, and making sure your team knows how to bring an AI-informed point of view into every engagement.

You will partner closely with other teams across the services organisation to shape a great customer experience, and work with sales teams to help grow business with both new and existing customers. You'll report into the EMEA Professional Services leadership team and be part of the regional Delivery Leadership Team.

Your main areas of focus will be:

Team development – growing your Engagement Managers' skills and careers, and building a high-performing, connected team

Customer satisfaction – making sure the customers in your portfolio have a great experience and see real value from their Workday deployment

Workday deployments across your team's book of business, spotting risk early, and helping resolve it in creative, practical ways

Best practice – using what you learn in the field to recommend improvements to the Workday Deployment Methodology, and sharing that thinking with leadership

AI strategy and adoption – Supporting customers in adopting AI within their Workday deployment, and ensuring your team can confidently guide them through AI-related decisions

About You

Basic Qualifications

Experience managing project teams through complex, large-scale software implementations within a SaaS environment

7+ years of experience leading and growing high-performing teams within a professional services or delivery organization

Background leading a team that deploys Workday (or comparable enterprise software) with experience in HCM, Financials, or ideally both

Other Qualifications

Leadership: you know how to guide, motivate, and develop a team, and you're comfortable setting direction while helping individuals grow toward their own goals

Executive Presence: you communicate with confidence and clarity, including with senior stakeholders and customer executives, and you can steady a room when things get complicated

Conflict Management: you have a track record of resolving disagreements constructively, whether within your team, across departments, or with customers

Project Management: you understand how to plan, monitor, and adjust complex work so it lands on time and meets expectations, even across multiple concurrent engagements

Business Acumen: you understand how Workday and the wider industry work, and you use that understanding to make good calls for your team and your customers

Customer Service: you've built a career around helping customers succeed, and you know how to turn a tricky situation into a positive outcome

An interest in AI tools and technology, whether that's hands-on experience applying AI within delivery or program work, or genuine curiosity about how AI can improve the way your team works

Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and your team across the UK and Ireland
