Working alongside cross-functional partners and external consultants, you will shape the future of our critical facilities by taking big design concepts and turning them into buildable, high-quality realities. Here, your technical expertise will help drive market-leading standards while ensuring our expansion projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on budget.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end design process for data center projects by managing third-party consultants to maintain alignment with internal quality standards.
- Partner with internal construction, finance, sales, and operations teams to validate project scope, design options, budgets, and delivery timelines.
- Support due diligence and feasibility assessments for potential facility acquisitions alongside external specialist consultants.
- Provide oversight and technical reporting on key design elements, critical infrastructure, and scheduling activities.
- Facilitate the procurement of long-lead owner-furnished equipment and assist sales engineering teams with custom customer solutions.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in mission-critical design or M&E-led technical industries (e.g., Data Centers, Nuclear, Pharma, Energy, or similar hi-tech sectors).
- Strong leadership capability within multi-disciplinary design teams across client, consultancy, or contractor environments.
- In-depth knowledge of complex electrical, mechanical, life safety, and control systems for critical facilities, alongside expertise in national building codes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong track record of building collaborative partner and stakeholder relationships.
- A University Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
What We Offer (Benefits)
- Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with experience.
- Flexible work options/alternative work options to support work–life balance.
- Comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement plans.
- Opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth.
