Support and assist in the smooth running of the property maintenance department, where the property is maintained to the highest level whilst ensuring that maintenance and company standards are adhered to.
Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with colleagues to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution.
Support and deliver on the strategies and objectives of the property maintenance department taking ownership for assigned areas of responsibility.
Develops and builds own skills, knowledge and experience at every opportunity within property maintenance department, which aligns with the culture of growth, development and performance expected by the company.
Collaborates with the Head of Department, ensuring that departmental inventory is maintained, that productivity targets are achieved and performance levels are attained
Build and maintain effective working relationships, communicating with key stakeholders whilst promoting the company culture and values.
Uses both power and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
Performs preventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel, including both the front and heart of house, interior and exterior.
Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
Work as per instructions from the immediate Supervisor and as per duty shifts

Grade 12 Certificate.
relevant qualifications from a recognized School; Trade certificate or vocational training in Carpentry, Joinery, Metalwork, Welding and Plumbing.
ZAQA Verification of Qualification.

Should have the skills in;

Carpentry and Joinery
Welding and Metalwork
Basic Plumbing Works
Guest Room PPM and General Maintenance
