Your role and responsibilities

As Factory IS Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT operations that support the factory's daily activities. You will serve as the primary local IS/IT contact, collaborating with colleagues across production, engineering, quality, and global IT functions. Your focus will be both operational and forward-looking, ensuring reliable service today while supporting tomorrow's digital development.

You will be accountable for:

  • Supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving IS/IT services and infrastructure that enable reliable factory operations.
  • Acting as the link between local business needs and ABB’s global IS/IT organization, ensuring effective coordination of IT services, systems, and end-user support.
  • Overseeing digitalization and IT/OT initiatives, with a focus on deploying and refining manufacturing systems and digital tools.
  • Promoting cybersecurity, compliance, risk management, and business continuity through awareness, assessments, and continuous improvements.
  • Managing service-related issues, requirements, and improvement opportunities to enhance operational stability, efficiency, and user experience.

As the role develops, there will be opportunities to broaden your responsibilities and contribute to larger strategic initiatives supporting the future of the factory.

Qualifications for the role

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, industrial IT, or IT operations.
  • Experience working in Citrix and Microsoft-based environments.
  • Understanding of infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience from a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience managing improvements, implementations, or digitalization efforts.
  • Fluent English and good Swedish communication skills.

In this role, curiosity, teamwork, and an initiative-driven mindset help you enjoy problem-solving and forming productive relationships. You perform well in changing environments, organize your responsibilities effectively, and value continuous growth. With an interest in technology and digital development, you enjoy turning business needs into practical solutions while working closely with colleagues across different functions.

We know that no one brings every skill and experience to a role from day one. If you have a solid IT foundation, experience from industrial environments, and the motivation to learn and grow, we would be interested in hearing from you.
