Position Overview

Join Autodesk’s Enterprise Technology (ET) finance team and help shape how we plan, measure, and communicate the value of Autodesk’s technology investments. Enterprise Technology brings together Enterprise Systems and Growth Experience Technology under Autodesk’s CIO, delivering the platforms and capabilities that enable the COO IT organization and Go-to-Market functions across the company. In this highly visible role, you will be a strategic finance business partner to technology and business leaders: owning consolidated financial reporting for the ET organization, partnering closely on SaaS and variable spend management, and helping establish a Technology Business Management (TBM) framework that shows leaders what Autodesk’s technology spend delivers. This role combines financial ownership, cross-functional partnership, and process improvement. It is well suited to someone who pairs strong analytical skills with sound business judgment and the executive presence to bring clear, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own financial consolidation, forecasting, and reporting for the Enterprise Technology organization, giving leaders a single, clear view of spend, trends, and risks across the combined portfolio
  • Partner closely with ET leadership on variable spend management, including SaaS contracts, software tools, and vendor spend, to drive cost discipline, renewal planning, and savings opportunities
  • Help design and implement a Technology Business Management (TBM) framework and taxonomy that connects technology spend to the services, applications, and business outcomes it supports
  • Serve as a trusted finance business partner to ET leadership, including the CIO, translating complex financial and operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and investment considerations
  • Support software-capitalization processes, including project assessments, amortization forecasting, documentation, and audit readiness, and help simplify this work through AI and automation
  • Lead key month-end and quarter-end activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis, while proactively identifying and resolving risks
  • Build scalable financial models, dashboards, and reporting, and identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate reporting, and strengthen controls as the ET portfolio evolves

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnership, or a related finance role, including experience in IT finance or technology spend management in any industry
  • Demonstrated finance business partnering experience, with a track record of influencing decisions and presenting insights to senior leaders
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, consolidation, month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial controls
  • Strong data analytics and financial modeling skills, including advanced Excel, with the ability to build repeatable reporting and turn analysis into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, sound business judgment, and executive presence, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Product, Procurement, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or working with Technology Business Management (TBM), IT cost transparency, or IT financial management frameworks
  • Experience managing SaaS, software licensing, or vendor spend, including contract renewals and cost optimization
  • IT finance experience in technology, SaaS, financial services, retail, or other cost-disciplined environments; candidates from consulting backgrounds with hands-on financial and data analytics experience will also be considered
  • Knowledge of internal-use software capitalization concepts, software development life cycles, capitalization documentation, and amortization timing
  • Experience with ERP, planning, reporting, or visualization tools such as SAP, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Airtable, Power BI, or similar systems
  • Process improvement mindset, with experience using AI and automation to standardize reporting, strengthen controls, improve forecast accuracy, or scale finance operations
