Freelance Producer

Pitch unique feature stories and interview guests

Be read-in and remain updated with current events and topics of interest

Use editorial judgment to develop interview research packets for host

Provide concise and informative scripts for show tapings

Work with a team to produce compelling and informative packages based on interviews conducted in the field

Build video and graphic elements as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

Experience producing news packages

Strong logistical and editorial skills with knowledge of national and international stories

Ability to be a self-starter who can work independently, as well as a team player

Excellent organizational skills

Familiarity with iNews is a plus

Must be flexible with your schedule and willing to work both weekdays and weekends

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $40.00-50.00 per hour.
