Maintenance Generalist MG02 - 1st Shift - Newton, MS Hatchery

In addition, this position requires working with specialized equipment and observing the use of said equipment. Must be able to keep machines maintained and clean. Must be able to work alongside contractors in order to ensure that our equipment is being properly utilized. Must go through training through to properly set up, operate, and shut down equipment. The person in this position will have their performance evaluated by Tyson and vendor to ensure that the machines are being operated properly. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Applicant must reside in a 30-mile radius of the facility. Days and hours may vary. Must have the ability to fabricate by welding and cutting. Must be able to read and write in order to follow Tyson preventive maintenance program.

Requirements:

Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12-months. Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting/relevant work experience.A High School Diploma or equivalent to include Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education in a related field in lieu of a Diploma.
