Manufacturing/Product Engineer

Implements and executes established time standards, production area layouts, and requirements for manufacturing tooling and processes for subsystems and portions of new products.

Develops cost estimates, capacity models, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements.

Develops and reviews key indicators to measure factory performance and provide recommendations to factory management.

Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners regarding processes, standards, compliance and manufacturing issues of existing products.

Coordinates and captures recommendations for problem resolution against the issues identified.

Participates as a member of project team of other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced manufacturing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions for low to moderately- complex products from new-product introduction through end of lifecycle.

Ensures compliance of manufacturing operations with necessary internal and external regulations.

Develops conclusions and written reports capturing current-state analysis and recommendations, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support.

Works independently on moderate scope problems, applying professional expertise, exercising judgment by following company policies and procedures.

Education & Experience Recommended

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.

Preferred Certifications

Six Sigma Certification

American Production And Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification

GD&T drawing experience such as solidworks, autocad, etc.
