Job Description

Agilent Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our team and provide technical support across one or more manufacturing areas, working closely with and assisting engineers.

Responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas, which may involve working with and assisting engineers. Duties may be related to the selection, installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment; technical support of one or more production/fabrication processes, product testing and troubleshooting; and/or technical analyses and problem-solving.

Carries out and/or assists in the development, improvement and optimization of standards, processes and procedures in the manufacturing environment, which may include cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance.

May assist in qualifying sources of raw materials, chemicals and other ingredients used in the manufacturing process.

May use layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals and rough sketches or drawings to set up, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance and repairs.

Works with engineers to develop, execute and track the testing and problem resolution of new and existing components, parts, products or processes/systems.

Compiles and maintains applicable documentation.

Additional Responsibilities:

May operate specialized machinery, equipment or tooling.
Working knowledge of company policies, practices, and procedures.
Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions for new/more complex assignments.
Assignments are moderately complex and require planning and decision-making.
Makes recommendations for process improvements or deviations.
Chooses appropriate tasks, sequence, and methods to complete work.
Coordinates information and activities within team as needed.
May coordinate work with third parties, vendors, or customers.
May deliver training or presentations within group as needed.

Qualifications

DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

May require some higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typically 1-3 years of relevant experience for entry to this level.

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $27.90 - $43.60/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
