Introduction
GlobalFoundries is seeking a talented IP Design Engineer to join our IP Engineering team in Hsinchu. As an individual contributor, you will help develop high-performance computing processor IP products, collaboratingwithglobalteamsacrossarchitecture,design,verification,andimplementation.Thisroleofferstheopportunitytoworkoncutting-edgesemiconductortechnologieswhiledrivingtechnicalinnovation,productquality,andengineeringexcellence.

Your Role
Developanddeliverhigh-performancecomputingprocessorIPproductsasamemberoftheGF'sIPEngineeringteaminHsinchu.
Drivetechnicalplanning,execution,anddeliveryacrossproductdevelopment,customerengagements,andengineeringinitiatives.
Workindependentlyandcollaborateeffectivelywithglobalcross-functionalteamstoensurehigh-qualityandtimelyprojectexecution.
Authorandreviewtechnicalspecifications,workplans,designdocumentation,andprojectdeliverables.
Contributetechnicalexpertiseinareassuchasarchitectureanalysis,microarchitecture,logicdesign,implementation,verification,signoff,andproductdelivery.
Supportthedevelopmentandenhancementofengineeringmethodologies,designflows,andqualityimprovementinitiatives.
Participateintechnologyroadmapplanning,projectdefinition,andtechnicalcustomerengagements.
Collaborateacrosssitesandfunctionstoresolvetechnicalchallengesanddrivesuccessfulproductoutcomes.
Promoteengineeringexcellencethroughknowledgesharing,executiondiscipline,andcontinuousprocessimprovement.
Contributetoteamcapabilitydevelopmentandmentorearly-careerengineersasneeded.
Supportsystemdevelopmentinitiatives,platformbring-up,andbusiness-criticalengineeringprograms.
Driveinnovationandoperationalefficiencywhileensuringalignmentwithproject,quality,andbusinessobjectives.
Required Qualifications
Master'sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerScience,orarelatedfield.
5+yearsofexperienceindigitaldesign,implementation,verification,orvalidationofprocessor/IPproducts.
Strongunderstandingofmicroprocessor,memory,andsystemarchitectures.
Hands-onexperienceinRTLdesign,microarchitecture,verificationmethodologies(UVM/OVM,formalverification,functionalcoverage),andtechnicalspecificationdevelopment.
ProficiencyinSystemVerilog,Verilog,C/C++,Python,Perl,andscriptinglanguages.
Experiencewithindustry-standardEDAtoolsforsimulation,synthesis,linting,formalverification,andflowautomation.
Stronganalytical,problem-solving,andtechnicalcommunicationskills.
Abilitytodrivetechnicalexecution,collaborateacrossglobalteams,anddeliverhigh-qualityresultsinafast-pacedenvironment.
PreferredQualifications
Experienceleadingprojectsormentoringengineers.
Experienceworkingwithgeographicallydistributedteams.
Familiaritywithproductsignoff,siliconbring-up,andproductdeliveryprocesses.
Experienceinmethodologydevelopment,processimprovement,orengineeringexcellenceinitiatives.
