MES Opcenter Solution Architect

Create business cases to highlight the ROI and value proposition of Opcenter MES.

Develop solution blueprints, data models, workflows, and UI mockups.

Manage a common MES code base across globally distributed systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Collaborate with vendors, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure project alignment and execution.

Translate business requirements into MES functional specifications.

Develop and optimize MES workflows aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISA-95).

Lead MES deployment projects including configuration, testing, and validation.

Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and stakeholders.

Troubleshoot MES-related issues to maintain system stability and performance.

Participate in incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes.

Support MES upgrades, enhancements, and customization extensions.

Manage and execute GxP documentation (e.g., test scripts) to ensure compliance.

Provide on-call support for manufacturing sites as needed.

Partners with Adoption SME to drive tool adoption and to enhance user experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

5 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred qualifications:

Strong experience in designing and architecting solutions in Siemens Opcenter / Camstar, CN MOM / CIO, Solution Configuration/ Build with Designer / Portal Studio

Proven hands-on experience as an MES Functional Architect or similar role.

Experience with GxP, ITIL (preferably ServiceNow and Jira).

Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Experience working in a complex matrix organization.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and IIoT technologies.

Proficiency in SQL databases, scripting, and data integration tools.

Familiarity with enterprise applications such as ERP, SCADA, and PLM.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
