We are looking for a Midd-to-Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a medical technology project and contribute to the quality of a complex software system.

Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated test cases for APIs, backend services, and frontend workflows.
Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria, identify additional test scenarios, and collaborate with developers to improve testability.
Develop and maintain automated tests using Python, Playwright, and a Behave-based BDD framework.
Maintain and improve test frameworks, test clients, mocks, test data, and test environments.
Investigate failing tests, identify defects, and maintain regression and smoke test suites.
Execute tests locally and through CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers, developers, and software requirements leads.

4+ years of experience in software test automation.
Experience in API testing; REST experience is sufficient, while gRPC or OPC UA is an advantage.
Experience designing and maintaining automated test cases and regression suites.
Experience with Python, ideally at an advanced level, or a solid automation background and willingness to develop Python skills.
Experience with BDD and TDD; knowledge of Behave is preferred.
Experience with Playwright. The project uses Playwright with Python, not JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience with Docker, ideally Docker Compose.
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD.
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience with GitLab, VS Code in WSL2, DevContainers, hardware mocking, gRPC and Protocol Buffers, OPC UA, shell scripting, or pipeline scripting.

Application: C++ backend microservices, React/TypeScript microfrontends
Communication: gRPC between services and OPC UA for hardware integration
