By ensuring that materials are accurately ordered, tracked, delivered, received, and made available on time, the role directly supports critical scientific and pharmaceutical research activities. It reduces operational risks such as delays, stockouts, non‑compliant deliveries, or issues with product integrity and storage conditions. Through precise order flows, rigorous reception handling, and consistent documentation, the role contributes to reliable, efficient, and compliant supply processes aligned with UCB’s quality and safety standards.
Depending on the position, the scope may focus on chemistry‑related orders (chemicals, solvents, reagents) or on biological materials and laboratory consumables, while maintaining flexibility to support other categories as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Enter orders (biological, consumables, chemicals) in SAP/Ariba as needed and provide backup when necessary.
• Monitor orders with suppliers and track delivery dates.
• Handle discrepancies (invoicing, quantity errors) and coordinate with finance.
• Receive goods, check storage conditions, and ensure proper distribution.
Note: This list is not exhaustive and may evolve based on operational needs.
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of SAP/Ariba, MS Office (Excel).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication (French and English required).
• Ability to comply with quality and safety procedures.
Soft Skills:
• Dynamic, proactive, customer-oriented.
• Team spirit and flexibility.
• Adaptability and service mindset.
Note:
This position is on-site and requires flexibility to provide backup for colleagues when needed.
The associate will primarily be responsible for order management and reception but may also support scanning and replenishment activities when necessary to ensure operational continuity.
