Principal Software Engineer - ADL Workbench

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead application design, and software development of large-scale platform on AWS.
• Lead technical design and coding reviews, application dependencies, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Lead the delivery of critical projects with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership with minimal direction.
• Enforce best practices for cloud-native development, microservices, and domain-driven and event-driven architectures.
• Act as a technical authority across multiple teams, guiding design decisions and ensuring long-term scalability and reliability.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, testing automation, code review assistants) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Evaluate emerging AI engineering tools and define standards for their safe, secure, and effective use.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and feedback loops to improve delivery speed and system reliability.
• Enable rapid experimentation and iteration using modern engineering practices.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and security teams to align solutions with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a lead/principal engineering role.
• Proven hands-on experience as a technical lead building scalable distributed systems in AWS production environments.
• Experience with micro-services architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in modern programming languages (e.g. Java or Python or JavaScript).
• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, system design, system test and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code LLMs, automated testing AI tools).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proven a positive and high-energy personal commitment with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with data engineering, machine learning, or AI technologies is considered an advantage.
