About the role:

The AVP of Product Management, Private Markets is a versatile and entrepreneurial product leader responsible for cross-cutting platform capabilities that serve multiple private markets asset classes — including private equity, private credit, real assets, and multi-strategy funds. This individual owns loan product areas that span the horizontal layers of our platform: data infrastructure, fund analytics, cross-asset reporting, workflow automation, and emerging capabilities such as AI-assisted due diligence and document intelligence.

The AVP will operate at the intersection of loan processing and management, investment operations, technology and business strategy, making this an ideal role for a product manager who thrives in a fast-moving, high-complexity environment. Working closely with CRPM Product, technology, operations and data teams, the successful candidate will explore how data from loan management platforms such as WSO, Versana, Siepe and others can be integrated with CRPM, identify opportunities for bi-directional connectivity and translate complex operational requirements into scalable client solutions. The role requires someone who can balance multiple stakeholder needs while getting into the detail of data and workflows, challenging manual processes and defining practical, reusable integration patterns.

This role requires hybrid work model (at least 4 days in the office per week).

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and deliver the roadmap for horizontal platform capabilities supporting private markets loan asset classes, including core data services, cross-fund analytics, workflow automation and API-based integration capabilities.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of relevant third-party loan platforms and data structures, including WSO, with particular focus on loan and asset records, security and reference data, income and accruals, positions, reconciliations, cash movements and projected cash flows.
  • Assess how loan data can be consumed and utilised within CRPM, identifying opportunities for bi-directional connectivity that improve data quality, operational efficiency and the client experience across both State Street-serviced and client-hosted environments.
  • Work hands-on with data to validate mappings, identify gaps and exceptions, and translate business and data concepts into clearly defined product, data and engineering requirements.
  • Define and drive the CRPM loan data model and taxonomy, establishing how fund, deal, asset, transaction and investor-level entities relate across the platform and ensuring consistency across workflows, analytics and reporting.
  • Identify high-friction and manual loan-processing activities and develop opportunities for automation, straight-through processing and exception-based workflows.
  • Drive the development of cross-asset portfolio analytics, including exposure and concentration analysis, diversification, performance attribution and analysis across fund vintages.
  • Work with current and potential clients to define standard client analytics and dashboard requirements by combining WSO and other relevant servicing data with accounting ledger, security master, loan reference and transaction-level information.
  • Partner across WSO, CRPM Product, Technology, Operations, Architecture and client-facing teams to validate use cases, prioritise opportunities and move solutions from discovery and concept through to delivery.
  • Define and own strategic approach to integrations with third-party loan servicing and data providers, establishing reusable integration patterns and a scalable blueprint that can support CRPM's broader private markets strategy.
  • Lead agile product delivery, maintaining a prioritised backlog, facilitating appropriate product and agile ceremonies, and working with engineering teams to deliver product increments against agreed outcomes.
  • Define product success measures and appropriate reporting to track adoption, data quality, operational efficiency and business impact, using these insights to inform subsequent product priorities.
  • Document target-state integration architecture, key data flows, priority use cases, product requirements and recommended roadmap, creating a practical foundation for continued development following the WSO secondment.
  • Support the Head of Product and wider Product leadership in strategic planning, OKR development, roadmap prioritisation and cross-functional alignment.

What we value:

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with loan products within financial services, fintech, or enterprise software — with meaningful exposure to private markets or asset management.
  • Solid understanding of private markets operations across multiple loan asset classes, including fund structures, capital deployment workflows, valuation processes, and investor reporting cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience owning platform-level or infrastructure product workstreams with technical complexity, with a keen focus on direct loans, syndicated loads, CLOs and various MBS types.
  • Familiarity with data architecture concepts: data modeling, ETL pipelines, API design, and event-driven systems.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies; strong proficiency with product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Productboard, or similar).
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and drive results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or technical graduate degree preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building or scaling Loan product solutions — particularly in capturing, processing, and monitoring from a technical and business perspective.
  • Familiarity with private markets technology stack and leading asset and loan management vendor solutions (WSO, Versana, Siepe, etc).
  • Exposure to loan administration workflows, including capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, waterfall modeling and transaction upkeep.
  • Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and financial data quality frameworks.
