About the job
Our Team:
The Software Asset Management team is part of the Digital Strategy and Operations department within Sanofi.
Our mission is to ensure software assets are governed and monitored throughout their lifecycle within our organization to ensure proper governance, optimize investments, maintain compliance with licensing agreements, and enhance security across all business units globally.
The SAM team operates globally, covering all Sanofi business units (R&D, industrial, commercial, support functions) across all geographies, with strong partnerships with Procurement, Legal, and IT teams.
We have successfully implemented the ServiceNow SAM Pro module to monitor complex software license compliance for key vendors, historically supported through a Managed Service. We are now transitioning away from this Managed Service and internalizing this capability, initially focusing on Microsoft, Oracle, and TIBCO publishers. This role will focus specifically on Oracle and TIBCO, working alongside a teammate covering Microsoft.

In parallel, we are developing new SAM tools leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Agile mode, to automate existing processes and create innovative ones.
We are looking for a motivated team member with solid technical foundations who is eager to grow into the Software Asset Management space — a domain at the crossroads of IT, Procurement, and Legal. Your primary focus will be to support the internalization of our ServiceNow SAM Pro capability; as we mature, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of innovative tools.
Main responsibilities:
· Drive the internalization of software asset compliance monitoring, focusing on Oracle and TIBCO publishers
· Configure and maintain ServiceNow SAM Pro to meet Sanofi's specific requirements, including regular exchanges with internal clients (software product owners) to ensure alignment with their needs
· Build and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into software assets
· Train and support users on new processes and tools
· Contribute to data quality and integrity across the ServiceNow SAM platform
· Document processes and technical solutions
· Lead integration efforts between SAM Pro and other ServiceNow modules or external systems
· Contribute to the design and development of new SAM tools, including AI-powered solutions, working in Agile mode (as the team matures)
About you
· Experience: 4-6 years of experience in IT, ITSM, or a related technical field; no prior SAM/licensing expertise required — genuine interest in developing skills in this space is key
· Learning & Development Expectations:
• Commitment to upskilling on ServiceNow SAM Pro through hands-on practice, training, and collaboration with the team
• Willingness to learn Software Asset Management principles (licensing models, compliance, vendor management)
• Ability to thrive in an Agile working environment (sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives, continuous improvement)
• Proactive approach to self-learning and staying current with SAM and AI-driven automation trends
· Soft skills:
• Strong appetite for learning and growing into a new technical domain
• Rigorous, methodical approach with attention to detail and data accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work across global teams
• Pragmatic, results-oriented mindset
• Ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work with high autonomy and take ownership of deliverables
• Willingness to share knowledge and support junior team members (if relevant)
· Technical skills:
• Strong technical background, with solid foundations in IT systems, infrastructure, or software engineering
• Good foundational knowledge of the ServiceNow platform (SAM Pro module is a plus)
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
• Experience with JIRA / Confluence is a plus
• Interest in AI-driven tools and automation is a plus
• Experience with software discovery tools is a plus
· Education:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• 4-8 years professional working experience in Information Technology
· Languages: Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Travel requirements: Occasional short-term international travel (approximately 1%)
