Senior Fullstack Engineer

You will work closely with product managers, UX designers and other engineers to design, build, operate and evolve these systems, with direct access to your users and their needs.

Our stack spans React, TypeScript and CSS on the frontend, and a Node.js/TypeScript with Postgres on the backend, integrating with Go-based systems owned by other teams. We value automated testing, continuous delivery and modern code practices, including AI-assisted engineering with Claude, Cursor and Devin.

You will work in a diverse and experienced team of engineers, collaborating across team and domain boundaries in a fast-moving, high-reliability environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

Ship features and improvements across the tasking-to-delivery Web UIs and their supporting APIs, reliably and predictably within the team's agile delivery cadence.

Design and build backend services and data models in Node.js/TypeScript and Postgres, alongside clean, well-tested React/TypeScript frontend contributions.

Raise code quality and maintainability across the stack through active participation in code review, on both frontend and backend changes.

Maintain reliability, observability and performance of live production systems, frontend and backend, through safe, incremental and monitored deployments.

Translate product, customer and stakeholder input into shipped, end-to-end solutions, working effectively across team and engineering domain boundaries.

Take ownership of features across the full stack, from UI to API to data layer, rather than handing off pieces at the boundary.

What we're looking for

Must haves:

Deep, senior-level experience in fullstack software development, with excellent knowledge of React, TypeScript and CSS, and solid, hands-on experience building backend APIs with Node.js/TypeScript and Postgres.

You've owned the architecture of a system spanning frontend and backend, made real trade-offs on state management, API design, data modeling, performance and component boundaries, and can defend the ones you made.

Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend integration patterns, database design, CI/CD pipelines and modern development and quality assurance workflows.

Knowledge of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.

Experience working with live production systems with safe daily deployments, across both frontend and backend surfaces.

You believe testing, documentation and code reviews are essential parts of engineering, not chores.

Eagerness to understand business and customer problems and collaborate with stakeholders to make the right trade-offs to build things that truly matter.

Uses AI-powered engineering tools daily and has a clear view of where they help and where they don't.

Nice to haves:

Experience with geospatial data (PostGIS, GeoJSON).

Familiarity with Go, since this role integrates with Go-based backend systems.

Base salary range for this position is 6000-8000 EUR per month (gross), depending on experience, and will be negotiated individually.
