Senior Group Treasury Systems Manager

Reporting into Group Treasury, you'll lead the management, optimisation and transformation of our global treasury systems landscape, supporting the delivery of Elevate28, WPP's strategic transformation programme. You'll work across Treasury, Finance, Technology, regional teams and external partners to drive automation, improve controls, enhance reporting, and deliver major system initiatives.

The role will oversee cross-regional transformation projects, ensuring successful delivery of complex system and process changes while managing risks, dependencies, resources, and key stakeholder decisions. You will also play a pivotal role in Treasury Systems governance, leading change request management, supporting Steering Committee activities, and helping shape the future operating model of the Treasury function.

This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to influence the future operating model of Treasury Systems at a global scale while leading a team based in Bengaluru.

What you'll be doing:

• LeadtheTreasurySystemsstrategy,roadmap,andtransformationagenda,drivingtheoptimisationandenhancementofTreasurytechnologyacrossaglobalorganisation.
• Deliverlarge-scaletransformationinitiatives,includingsystemupgrades,automation,integrations,datagovernance,andprocessstandardisation.
• Overseethefullprojectlifecycle,fromrequirementsgatheringandsolutiondesignthroughtotesting,implementation,governance,andpost-go-livesupport.
• PartnercloselywithTreasury,Finance,IT,bankingpartners,andexternalvendorstoensuresuccessfuldeliveryofstrategicinitiatives.
• ActasthekeyliaisonbetweenTreasuryandtechnologyteams,translatingbusinessrequirementsintoscalabletechnologysolutions.
• ManageTreasurysystemsgovernance,servicedelivery,vendorrelationships,andcontinuousimprovementactivities.
• Maintainarobustcontrolenvironment,ensuringsystems,processes,anddataalignwithgovernanceandriskmanagementrequirements.
• Championinnovationbyleveragingautomation,analytics,andAI-drivensolutionstoenhancetreasuryprocessesanddecision-making.
• Driveimprovementsindataquality,reportingaccuracy,operationalefficiency,andbusinessinsight.
• Supportstrategiccashmanagement,liquidity,andtreasurytransformationinitiativesonaglobalscale.
• Developandembedscalablesupportmodels,processes,andbestpracticestoenableefficientandeffectiveTreasuryoperationsworldwide.
• Monitoremergingtechnologiesandindustrytrends,identifyingopportunitiestoimproveTreasurycapabilitiesandoperationalperformance.

Key Systems Expertise

• StrongexperiencewithTreasuryManagementSystems,ideallyIONIT2.
• Expertiseintreasurytechnology,bankingconnectivity,andsystemintegrations,includingSWIFT,APIs,andhost-to-hostsolutions.

What you'll need:

• Proven experience implementing, managing, or supporting Treasury Management Systems within a corporate or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of UK and international treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated project management expertise, with a track record of delivering complex transformation and systems initiatives on time and within budget.
• Advanced analytical skills, including strong proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience integrating treasury platforms with ERPs, banking systems, and payment networks is highly advantageous.
• A proactive problem solver with a strong focus on process optimisation, controls, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a global, fast-paced team environment.
• An appreciation of emerging technologies, including the application of AI to enhance treasury operations, insights, and decision-making.
