Senior Platform Engineer

What You'll Do (When You Join Us)

As a Platform Engineer, you'll design, build, and operate the platforms, tooling, and automation capabilities that power modern software delivery across the organisation.

Build & Evolve Platforms

• Design and develop scalable, self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and accelerate software delivery.
• Build and maintain cloud-native platform solutions leveraging containerisation, orchestration, infrastructure automation, and platform services.
• Create reusable engineering standards, frameworks, and deployment patterns that enable consistency across teams.

Automate & Optimise

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern automation tools and practices.
• Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, test, release, and deployment processes.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency through automation and observability.
• Drive standardisation through platform engineering best practices, policy automation, and governance frameworks.

Enable Engineering Excellence

• Partner with Software Engineers, Architects, SREs, Security teams, and Product teams to build reliable engineering platforms.
• Improve developer experience through self-service tools, internal developer platforms, and engineering productivity initiatives.
• Participate in platform design reviews, architecture discussions, incident reviews, and continuous improvement activities.

Operate & Support

• Monitor platform health, availability, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Contribute to operational excellence through logging, monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and resilience engineering practices.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and service reliability initiatives.

Mentor & Share

• Guide engineers on platform capabilities, automation practices, cloud adoption, and DevOps methodologies.
• Contribute to engineering communities, internal tech forums, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
