The Role

Join the AspenTech Inmation team and help build the next generation of industrial data and automation platforms. You'll work on the Enterprise Operations Platform, developing high-performance distributed systems that connect industrial devices, move massive amounts of data, and make that data accessible from the edge to the cloud.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll guide a talented team of engineers while actively contributing to architecture, design, and development. Your Impact

Technical management of a team of developers and quality engineers
Building high-performance backend services in C++ and Lua
Designing and developing distributed, data-intensive systems
Creating APIs for configuration, diagnostics, and data access
Developing solutions that connect industrial systems to cloud platforms
Exploring cutting-edge technologies in industrial IoT, edge computing, and big data
Collaborating with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to turn ideas into scalable products

As a technical leader, you will:

Lead and mentor a team of software developers and quality engineers
Drive technical decisions, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices
Help define project scope, estimates, and delivery plans
Ensure high-quality software through code reviews, pair programming, and automated testing
Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture
Take ownership of delivering reliable, scalable, and maintainable software

What You'll Need

Strong professional experience with modern C++
Deep understanding of: o Data structures and algorithms o Concurrent and multithreaded programming o Operating system fundamentals o Software architecture and system design
Familiarity with networking, databases, servers, APIs, and security concepts
Experience with scripting languages (Lua, Python, or similar) is a plus
Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of CI/CD and modern software development practices
Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in Agile development environments
Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities
Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing
Work on large-scale, real-world industrial systems
Solve challenging distributed computing and data engineering problems
Influence product architecture and technical direction
Collaborate with highly skilled engineers and domain experts
Be part of a growing industry at the intersection of Industrial IoT, edge computing, cloud, and automation
Build technology that powers digital transformation across global industries
