Senior Sales Engineer

Role

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, based in the Netherlands, reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager in the Sales Engineering department. The Zscaler Sales and Go-to-Market team is a global group of professionals who are passionate about delighting our customers, nurturing trusted partnerships, and sharing their expertise to drive a secure, cloud-enabled digital future. Working within a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will act as a pivotal technical partner to demonstrate the power and agility of Zscaler cloud transformation to the world.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Present the Zscaler cloud security platform to prospective customers
• Set the vision and translate goals into enticing and relevant recommendations
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients while aiding their transformational journey
• Gather customer technical requirements and promote the value proposition in POV, presentations, and demos with prospects and customers

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
• At least 8 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems Integrator
• Deep knowledge of enterprise network or cloud security technologies
• Proven experience working with Value Selling Methodologies
• Demonstrated proficiency producing technical presentations and product demonstrations
• Solid experience collaborating with sales to qualify opportunities, build territory plans, and deliver proof of concept engagements

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Demonstrate strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate AI-generated recommendations and outputs
• Possession of Cloud Platform and other relevant certifications such as CISSP or CCNP
• Strong technical experience in SASE, Proxy technology, Cybersecurity, IPS, DLP, CASB, or CNAPP
• Native or bilingual fluency in Dutch alongside a track record of working with enterprise accounts in the region

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for this position across all Netherlands locations. Individual pay placement within this range is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including job-related skills, relevant experience, and education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/bonus/equity (if applicable) and benefits.

Base Pay Range

€89.250—€127.500 EUR
