The Role:
- Conducting planned and reactive maintenance on a range of generators.
- Working a shift pattern 5 days in 7, mainly midweek.
- Occasionally assisting other engineers in the field, with a company vehicle provided.
- Diagnosing faults and performing breakdown repairs.
- Liaising with Coordinators to ensure efficient scheduling and planning.
- Adhering to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Collecting parts from suppliers as required.
- Keeping accurate records using the company’s bespoke management system.
The Person:
- Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above.
- Experience with generators ranging from 20-1500kVA.
- Ability to perform risk assessments.
- Previous experience in a mechanical engineering role is highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points) – willing to undertake towing training if needed.
- Confident in dealing with customers from a variety of sectors.
- Comfortable communicating both in person and over the phone.
