We are looking for a candidate who embody ownership, display a hunger for learning and improvement, and excel in autonomy.

You will report to the Software Engineering Manager II. This role will be a 2-Years Fixed-Term Contract under Grab and will be base onsite in our Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will:

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and efficient backend systems and applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and applications
Participate in code reviews and ensure that solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in backend systems and applications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

1+ years of experience in backend software development with languages such as Golang, Java, or Python.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
Good understanding of database systems, including relational and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
