We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Embedded Software Platform team in Athens, Greece, part of Renesas' Embedded Processing group. You'll design, develop, and own the quality of the platform software — drivers, middleware, and RTOS — that runs on Renesas devices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded platform software for Renesas devices, including low-level drivers, middleware, and RTOS integration
Own the quality of delivered software, from design review through verification
Write, test, and document embedded software
Plan and schedule your own tasks, contribute to team-level software planning, and report progress to the project lead
Mentor and coach junior engineers, and provide technical supervision of their work

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of embedded software development experience in consumer electronics, automotive, medical, or a similar domain
Strong C programming skills and a track record of designing software for deeply embedded, resource-constrained platforms
Hands-on experience with 8/16/32-bit MCU architectures, including ARM Cortex-M
Fully competent across the software engineering lifecycle, including verification and testing of deliverables against specifications and requirements
Comfortable debugging with lab equipment and tooling: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debuggers
Experience with modern development methodologies (Agile, CI, test automation) and version control (Git, SVN, Bitbucket, GitHub)
Able to prioritize, set goals, and meet deadlines for yourself and others
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an effective, collaborative working style across engineering teams
