Use production data and metrics to identify, prioritize, and justify improvement efforts.
Define and implement standard approaches to waste reduction and process optimization.
Lead manufacturing readiness perspective during NPI and production handoff.
Drive lessons learned from production into new product designs and processes.
Influence design, quality, and supply chain decisions using data and manufacturability considerations.
Set direction and expectations for problem solving, documentation, and process control within the Manufacturing Engineering team.
Establish and enforce standardized approaches to manufacturing processes, problem solving, and documentation.
Drive adoption of data-driven decision making across manufacturing and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field. Sufficient combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
7+ years of Manufacturing or Sustaining Engineering experience, preferably in scientific instrumentation, sensors, industrial equipment, or related complex electromechanical systems.
Demonstrated use of root cause analysis, statistical methods, and process improvement tools.
Strong ownership and accountability for results.
Ability to lead across functions through influence and standardization.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data management.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, process validation, and continuous improvement techniques.
Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and mechanical drafting. Experience with product lifecycle tools (PLM systems) preferred.
Hands-on prototyping and test experience, including familiarity with machine shop tools and rapid prototyping methods.
Background in manufacturing techniques such as CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and/or additive manufacturing a plus.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication and presentation skills, including comfort participating in technical design reviews.
