Staff Software Engineer (YC experience)

Architect scalable services and APIs using TypeScript, Python, and Go.

Own technically challenging projects from design through deployment.

Drive architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams.

Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Identify technical bottlenecks and develop long-term solutions.

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and other technical stakeholders.

Establish engineering standards, patterns, and best practices.

Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership.

Participate in technical strategy and long-term platform planning.

What We're Looking For

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong experience with TypeScript, Python, Go, or a combination of these.

Proven experience designing and operating production systems at scale.

Strong distributed systems and system design knowledge.

Experience leading technical projects across multiple teams.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Strong ownership and ability to operate independently.

Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.

Experience building high-scale SaaS or platform systems.

Distributed systems or event-driven architecture experience.

AI/ML infrastructure or AI product experience.

Startup or scale-up experience.

Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
