You’ll be dedicated to one strategic customer, partnering closely with the Client Director to develop and execute the account strategy and drive growth across the organisation.
As an AE2, you’ll take ownership of identifying and creating new opportunities within the account, building relationships with new stakeholders, uncovering business challenges and driving incremental revenue. You’ll operate as a strategic partner to the Client Director, while independently owning your opportunities and pipeline from prospecting through to close.
You’ll be part of a high-energy, high-earnings team where customers are actively investing in AI, data and digital transformation. Your commercial instincts, ability to uncover whitespace and hunter mentality will directly shape your success.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow one strategic named account, identifying whitespace and creating net-new and expansion opportunities across the customer.
- Partner closely with the Client Director to develop and execute a joint account strategy, bringing your own perspective and independently owning your opportunities and pipeline.
- Proactively identify new stakeholders, business units and areas of opportunity, building relationships and uncovering customer challenges beyond existing contacts.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline through proactive prospecting, relationship building and strategic account engagement.
- Develop compelling, value-based business cases that connect Salesforce’s AI, data and platform capabilities to the customer’s strategic and commercial priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with senior and C-suite stakeholders, multi-threading across a complex enterprise organisation to create and progress opportunities.
- Lead complex sales cycles from discovery through to close, coordinating internal resources and customer stakeholders to maintain momentum and deliver customer outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Industry Advisors and other Salesforce teams to deliver a compelling customer experience.
- Take ownership and accountability for your pipeline, forecast and revenue performance, while operating as an integral part of the wider account team.
- Bring a strong hunter mentality, continuously looking for new ways to expand Salesforce’s footprint and create value within the account.
Required Qualifications
- Enterprise or growth business sales experience, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding quota in complex B2B environments.
- Demonstrated hunter mentality and ability to identify and create new opportunities within large, strategic accounts.
- Proven ability to prospect independently, build relationships with new stakeholders and create pipeline without relying solely on inbound opportunities or existing relationships.
- Strong value-selling and consultative sales skills, with the ability to build compelling business cases tied to customer outcomes.
- Experience navigating complex organisations and engaging multiple stakeholders, including senior and C-suite decision-makers.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to operate effectively alongside a Client Director and broader account team.
- Demonstrated ownership, resilience and adaptability, with the ability to learn from setbacks and maintain momentum in complex sales cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into the telecommunications, media or technology industry.
- Experience working within a strategic or named-account sales model.
