Substitute Teacher

Carry out lesson plan instructions from the classroom teacher

Take attendance according to school procedure

Create and maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and productive learning environment in accordance with school policies

Complete a report form, including absences, progress with lesson plan, positive experiences, etc. for the teacher

Oversee students outside of the classroom, including in the hallways, cafeteria, and playground

Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times

Ensure the classroom and work stations are kept clean and orderly

Oversee the normal classroom rhythms and activities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, squatting, pushing, and/or pulling. Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma

This position is conditional to the provision of federal criminal background checks covering the countries that you have lived and worked in for the last 10 years and any convictions highlighted will be reviewed against standard Safeguarding principles of working with children. All checks requested to be received prior to commencement of employment.
