Guy Carpenter
Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Surety – Client Analytics & Surety Solutions team at Marsh Re. This role will be based in New York or Morristown, NJ. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We are seeking a highly technical, client-facing senior credit analyst with strong analytical capabilities to serve as the critical bridge between broking and analytics. This role combines deep quantitative credit expertise with a consultative, entrepreneurial mindset to deliver compelling client-ready analysis, support new business development, and strengthen our Surety Center of Excellence.
We will count on you to:
- Serve as the primary bridge between broking and analytics operations, translating complex quantitative credit data into clear, actionable insight for both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Bring deep credit analyst expertise - ideally 10 to15 years of experience evaluating complex credit risk - to support surety placements.
- Build sophisticated, client-ready Excel models and PowerPoint presentations that turn dense quantitative data into content clients can act on.
- Work closely with our Analytics team on the analytical work behind RFP responses, ensuring proposals are technically rigorous and compellingly presented to win new business.
- Cultivate strong internal and external relationships with brokers, analytics teams, and clients to retain and grow a robust book of surety business.
- Communicate confidently and clearly, translating quantitative findings into conversations that resonate with non-technical client stakeholders.
- Stay curious about broader (re)insurance and financial market developments and continuously build subject-matter depth to better serve clients.
- Operate with an entrepreneurial, proactive mindset — identifying opportunities and taking initiative rather than waiting for direction.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple client deliverables and shifting priorities without sacrificing quality.
