At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. Here, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world. As a global market leader, we’ll give you what you need to make it happen. It won’t always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you’ll never run alone. Run what runs the world.
This Position reports to:
R&D Team Lead
Your role and responsibilities
Recent advances in cryptography enable computations to be performed directly on encrypted data.
This opens the possibility of cloud-based controllers that never access the underlying process measurements or control commands in unencrypted form.
Such technology could enable secure optimization and control across organizational boundaries while preserving data confidentiality.

- Quantify the trade-offs between privacy, computational cost, communication latency, and control performance
Qualifications for the role

- Experience with simulation and programming (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or Python).
- Ability to work independently with scientific literature and hands-on experiments.
