What You'll Do

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of TOMRA sorting systems across Japan.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Commissioning, testing, integration, and start-up of TOMRA sorting equipment
Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical upgrades
Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, and system-related issues
Providing on-site and remote technical support to customers
Optimizing machine performance and maximizing equipment uptime
Delivering customer training for operators and maintenance teams
Preparing detailed service reports and technical documentation
Supporting Sales and Project Management teams with technical expertise
Participating in on-call support activities when required
Sharing field feedback and improvement opportunities with internal teams

What We're Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Experience in Field Service, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Commissioning, or similar technical environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage technical issues in the field
Experience working directly with customers in industrial environments

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Japanese: Business-level proficiency
English: Professional working proficiency

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively throughout Japan
Ability to travel internationally on occasion when required
Valid driver's license
