About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Regional HR Generalist based in Singapore to join our Global People Advisor team. This role will serve as the primary people operations partner for our APAC and UAE presence, supporting teams across Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Australia and the UAE. You'll be a trusted advisor to managers across the region - providing guidance on local employment matters, navigating complex multi-jurisdictional compliance, and owning the operational delivery that keeps our teams running smoothly. This is a high-autonomy role that requires strong judgment, regional expertise, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with a global People Team.

In this role, you'll:

Serve as the go-to people advisor for managers across Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Australia and the UAE - providing practical, informed guidance on people policies, local employment practices, and sensitive employee matters

Own comprehensive leave administration across the region, including statutory leave entitlements, medical leave, and jurisdiction-specific requirements

Coordinate regional benefits renewals with our Benefits Lead, working with local vendors and brokers to ensure competitive, compliant offerings across all supported markets

Provide immigration support for APAC and UAE based employees, partnering with external counsel and vendors as needed

Support and, where needed, lead employee relations matters and offboarding processes across the region, exercising sound judgment and discretion

Proactively identify gaps in regional compliance, policy coverage, or operational processes and recommend solutions

Collaborate across the global People Team to ensure consistency in operations delivery and policy implementation while adapting for local requirements

Contribute to global People Team projects and initiatives, such as process improvements, policy rollouts, or initiatives, bringing regional perspective to cross-functional work

We're looking for candidates who have:

5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, People Operations professional, or similar role with multi-jurisdictional experience in APAC

Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment law and statutory requirements

Demonstrated experience navigating employment regulations in at least one additional market in the region (South Korea, Japan, Australia or UAE preferred)

Proven ability to advise and coach managers on people matters — not just process execution, but providing sound judgment on nuanced situations

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across time zones, cultures, and levels of seniority

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment

Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday and payroll coordination

Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism

Nice to have experience:

Knowledge of employment law across multiple APAC+UAE jurisdictions (particularly South Korea, Japan, Australia and UAE)

Background in fast-growing technology companies or the crypto/blockchain industry

Experience supporting remote and distributed teams across multiple time zones

Familiarity with APAC immigration processes and work permit requirements

HR certification relevant to the region (e.g., IHRP, SHRM, or equivalent)
